Historics at Brooklands has announced its major auction calendar for 2012, in association with Brooklands Museum.
The specialist classic car auction house, established in June 2010, will hold four major sales in the course of the year, which will again comprise a varied and extensive portfolio of classic motorcars, motorcycles and automobilia at each sale.
Brooklands Museum has hosted the seven Historics auctions to date, and will remain the venue for all 2012 auctions with the exception of Historics’ opener, which is scheduled for Saturday, February 18, at the nearby Mercedes-Benz World on the famous Brooklands site.
Historics follows-up at Brooklands Museum with three further major Saturday sales, on May 26, September 1 and November 24.
Commenting on the Historics’ 2012 calendar, Director, Mark Perkins said: “We look forward to the year ahead with great optimism, after enjoying an excellent finale to our 2011 auction season, when our 100+ vehicles consignment came under the hammer at Brooklands Museum on October 22, with a 65% sale, and income well in excess of £1 million.
“We have chosen to open our 2012 season with a major sale at the nearby Mercedes-Benz World, for purely logistical reasons, based on the extent of our planned vehicle consignments,” he added. “We look forward to it, and equally to returning to our Brooklands Museum home for our remaining 2012 sales.”
Allan Winn, Director of Brooklands Museum, commented: “We are delighted to have contributed to the success of Historics since their first sale in 2010, and look forward to welcoming them back to the Museum in the spring.”
