Today if you visit the Australian Google Search Engine homepage you will see an interesting looking Google Doodle on the Australian Google pages. The doodle today is announcing the “Doodle 4 Google Australia” winner.

Each year Google hold their Doodles competition in different countries across the globe, inviting school children to draw and submit their Doodles to Google based on the different themes that Google allows them to pick.

Todays “Doodle 4 Google Australia” was designed by Olivia Kong NSW from the Hornsby Girls High School Sydney, New South Wales and called Brain Matter.

Presumably the Doodle 4 Google Australia featured today is about balancing your life between academic and social activities. In the left hand side of the doodle there are things that are more logical and brain draining like chess, cubes and mathematics and on the right hand side of the Google Doodle image there are more creative things like music, dancing and sports.

In my opinion Olivia Kong designed a clever doodle, based on the science of how the mind works (Simple illustration) and incorporated these things into today’s doodle.
