The firm will introduce a new head unit for Ford Focus sedans at the 2013 Taipei Int’l Auto Parts & Accessories Show (TAIPEI AMPA). The integrated head unit has many features, including an 8-inch thin film transistor-liquid crystal display (TFT-LCD) monitor with 800×480 pixel resolution, single-disc DVD/VCD/MP3 player with NTSC/PAL formats compatibility, voice-control function, built-in HDTV receiver, built-in navigation system and operating interface, Bluetooth functionality for cellphones, expandability to head-cushion monitors for rear seats, USB slot for memory cards, and touch/button dual operating modes.

Daiwoo now supplies more than 20 multimedia infotainment systems for Ford, Mitsubishi, Nissan, Honda, and Toyota models. The firm claims that its core advantages lie in its long accumulation of experience and know-how gained through cooperation with automakers, as well as a strong in-house R&D capability. It has the ability to develop products for both left- and right-drive cars
