HONDA TT LEGENDS SIGN AGREEMENT WITH MOTUL

The Honda TT Legends team has signed an agreement with Motul, Europe’s leading motorcycle lubricants company. Motul will support the team as it contests the World Endurance Championship, the Isle of Man TT and the Northwest 200 aboard the 20th anniversary Honda CBR1000RR Fireblade.

HONDA CONFIRMS CRF250L COMING TO EUROPE

Honda today confirms that the CRF250L, revealed for the first time at the Tokyo Motor Show in November 2011, will go on sale across Europe during summer 2012.

The CRF250L is a true ‘dual purpose motorcycle’, combining ease of use for everyday life with the fun and capabilities of off-road riding. As such, it continues a long tradition of Honda machines, dating back to the XL250S of the late 1970s, and the entire XL range that followed.

FURYGAN LAUNCHES FIRST FULLY CE-APPROVED COLLECTION

French manufacturer Furygan is set to launch the first collection under its new Motion Lab label – meaning the spring/summer 2012 range will be fully compliant with European standards in terms of protection for motorcyclists. Gildenhuys and BMW aim for historic Superbike hat-trick in 2012

Reigning South African Superbike champion Greg Gildenhuys (BMW Motorrad Motorsport BMW S1000RR) will be aiming for an historic hat-trick of titles when he takes to the grid for the 2012 season, which starts at Zwartkops Raceway in Gauteng on Saturday (March 3).

The Rockstar Energy Racing teams were truly a force to be reckoned with at round eight of the AMA/FIM Supercross Series at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, GA, on Saturday night. All the Rockstar Energy athletes lifted their respective games and turned in impressive performances in front of the sold-out crowd of more than 70,000 screaming fans.

Honda Comes Out Strong in 2012 Atlanta Supercross

A sold-out crowd of nearly 70,000 attended round eight of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross, an FIM World Championship series this weekend in Atlanta, GA. Honda riders had an impressive showing with Team Honda Muscle Milk’s Justin Brayton finishing fifth and replacement rider Cole Seely finishing in sixth place in the Supercross class. It was also the second round of the East Lites class and GEICO Honda’s Justin Barcia made it two wins in a row, while his teammate Justin Bogle finished third.

Strong Sixth Place Finish for Cole Seely in 2012 Atlanta Supercross

Cole Seely went into Atlanta looking for a top ten finish in the 450 class. Filling in for an injured Trey Canard, Cole was invited by Team Honda to compete in the premier class over the next few east coast rounds. Cole may have exceeded everyone’s expectations, including his own.

Cole had a great start in his heat race, getting through the first corner in second and keeping pace with the front of the pack. With two laps to go in the 8 lap heat race, Seely was overtaken and finished third.

HAWKSTONE SHAKEDOWN PREPARES TYCO SUZUKI TEAM

The Tyco Suzuki MX team left the first major event of the year with promising feedback at the weekend, as Stephen Sword and Stuart Edmonds used the Hawkstone International event to work on bike set-up and technique ahead of the first British Championship round.

Riding in new team colours for the first time outdoors this season, the pairing impressed early on, with Sword setting a fast pace in qualifying, ending seventh quickest and Edmonds adapting to his new ride well with an eighth.
