Triumph Motorcycles and J&S Accessories have each been presented with a special award after their respective stands were voted the ‘best in show’ by visitors to last November’s Motorcycle Live. The news comes as show organisers MCI Exhibitions Ltd confirm that Motorcycle Live 2012 will go ahead from 24 November – 2 December at The NEC, Birmingham.

Yamaha’s XT1200Z Super Ténéré is a real world motorcycle that is capable of crossing continents. Its DNA lies with four decades of rally raiding.

In March this year, Yamaha will pander to this sports focused side by launching the Worldcrosser which was first seen as a concept at Motorcycle Live in 2010.

NEW YAMAHA TOP CASES FOR 2012
Yamaha’s comprehensive range of innovative Genuine Accessories is to be expanded for 2012 with the launch of two new high quality top cases, designed to fit a wide range of its current scooter and motorcycle models.
Developed exclusively for Yamaha by ELM Design, these stylish new top cases are available in 39 litre and 50 litre options, allowing Yamaha owners the opportunity to increase their bike’s secure storage capacity. CALENDAR ANNOUNCED FOR THE 2012 DUCATI 848 CHALLENGE
The dates and venues for the 2012 Ducati 848 Challenge have now been announced with a calendar incorporating some of the best circuits both in the UK and abroad.
The Ducati 848 Challenge will again consist of eight rounds and sixteen races, including six British Superbike rounds, as well as the now traditional two overseas rounds. The series kicks off at the British Superbikes opener at Brands Hatch on the 6/7/8 of April before returning to Assen for a third consecutive year on the 11/12/13 May.
The Championship then makes its first visit to the Snetterton 300 circuit before the round of the season at Misano and the famous World Ducati Week.

WORLD CHAMP CHOOSES SUZUKI
Reigning Downhill World Mountain Bike Champion, Danny Hart, took delivery of a new 2012 RM-Z250 Suzuki at the weekend, as the British rider agreed a deal with the Japanese manufacturer to support his winter training programme.
Hart, who emphatically won the World Cup series this year, thanks to his legendary 11 second win at the final round at Champery, will begin using the 2012 RM-Z250 as part of his winter training regime, where he regularly practices and competitively competes in motocross.

LIMITED-EDITION ROSSI EYE HELMET REPLICA GOES ON SALE
A limited edition replica of Valentino Rossi’s ‘big eye’ helmet, worn by the Italian champion at the Mugello MotoGP round, is now available to buy in Dainese/AGV dealers priced at £499.99.
Sure to attract attention with its unusual graphics, and developed in association with legendary designer Aldo Drudi, the unique AGV helmet shows one of Rossi’s big blue eyes’, along with the colours of the Italian flag. Unusually, Rossi also used the helmet to voice a message to his fans: “watch out because sooner or later there’s going to be a change”.

DANNY BUCHAN WINS 2011 TEAM GREEN TROPHY
Race winner and frequent podium visitor in 2011, Danny Buchan, has added to his victory tally having just been named as winner of the Alec Wright Memorial Team Green Trophy.
Awarded to the Kawasaki Team Green rider that most personifies the spirit of Team Green across the racing season, the trophy is named after the founder of the Team Green concept in the UK, Alec Wright.

WK AND LAMBRETTA BOOSTED BY MOTORCYCLE LIVE SUCCESS
WK Motorcycles is riding high following a successful debut at Motorcycle Live which closed last Sunday following a nine day run at the NEC.
