A character-building start!
The Hexis Racing team were prepared for a challenging race at Nogaro with the entry of two brand-new cars in the FIA GT1 World Championship. As things turned out the French team managed to show the potential of the McLaren GT, and underline the world champions’ determination to be successful in this year’s championship.
The new McLaren Production Centre (MPC) has received significant industry recognition as building architects Foster+Partners, and national planning and design consultancy Terence O’Rourke, were given the award for Best Industrial and Logistics Development by MIPIM at a recent ceremony in Cannes, France.
The MIPIM awards show annual recognition to the most innovative industry projects, with only the most outstanding technical and architectural work making the final selection process.
NEW YORK, February 16, 2012 — Deliveries of the MP4-12C are now underway to customers in North America and Canada. To celebrate the arrival of the 12C, McLaren is releasing a video of the car and its first street drives across North America.
The video was shot in five locations across the United States in some of the key markets where McLaren has dealerships. Additionally, footage was shot on location at McLaren’s port of entry in Baltimore, MD. The footage includes the MP4-12C rolling off the cargo vessel Taisko which had just arrived from the United Kingdom.

This follows Ian Gorsuch’s move from the role and appointment as Regional Director for Asia Pacific; a newly created position that supports the creation of McLaren Automotive Asia, a private limited company registered in Singapore to oversee McLaren Automotive’s Asia Pacific operations.

Carbon Neutral Investments selected by Vodafone McLaren Mercedes to offset team’s CO2 emissions
London, 5 December 2011 – Vodafone McLaren Mercedes announced today that it has been certified by Carbon Neutral Investments (CNI) as 100% carbon neutral, and in doing so, becomes the world’s first carbon neutral Formula 1 team.
In achieving this long-held ambition, Vodafone McLaren Mercedes has worked alongside CNI to select appropriate and relevant initiatives to offset the team’s carbon footprint.
RSF Announces Single Seater Plans For 2012
An emotional and astonished Oliver Rowland received the top award at the AUTOSPORT Awards last night at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London. The Racing Steps Foundation driver was presented with the prestigious McLaren AUTOSPORT BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award by Steve Rider in company with McLaren F1’s Martin Whitmarsh and BRDC President, Derek Warwick.
With this great achievement, Oliver joins the realms of past winners David Coulthard, Jenson Button and Paul di Resta. The win involves a McLaren F1 test drive, £100,000 and BRDC membership (full details at end of release).
