TOYOTA SOUTH AFRICA DOMINATES 2012 IPSOS AUTOMOTIVE QUALITY AWARDS

Toyota South Africa has dominated the 2012 Ipsos (formerly Synovate) Automotive Quality Awards, garnering seven gold segment awards and three gold brand awards. Toyota also has the honour of producing the best model scores across the segments. (Ipsos interviewed 22 000 new vehicle owners three months after ownership.

TOYOTA KEEPS IT IN THE FAMILY WITH THREE FINALISTS IN THE 2013 WESBANK SAGMJ CAR OF THE YEAR COMPETITION

The Toyota 86 and its hybrid sibling, the Yaris HSD were selected on Monday as Wesbank SAGMJ South African Car of the Year finalists by a 29-member jury of the South African Guild of Motoring Journalists. (Not forgetting of course sister brand Lexus which made it onto the finalists’ podium with the GS 350, making it a record three finalists from the Toyota stable.)

Toyota GT86 NAMED BEST COUPE IN 2012

86 NAMED BEST COUPE IN 2012 SCOTTISH CAR OF THE YEAR AWARDS

The Toyota 86 (called the GT86 in Europe) has received its first UK honour, being named best coupe in the 2012 Scottish Car of the Year awards.

The 86 followed up its debut success on track in the recent Britcar 24 Hours race by winning its category in the Scotland’s premier new car awards, voted for by members of the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers.
