LAND ROVER A STANDOUT AT THIS YEAR’S TOURISM INDABA

Land Rover was awarded gold for its striking stand at this year’s 2012 Tourism Indaba.  Thousands of local and international visitors from the tourism industry visited the Albert Luthuli Convention Centre inDurbanbetween 12 and 15 May.

Land Rover displayed its new Defender Game Viewer alongside a prototype electric version of the Defender. The vehicles were showcased in a fitting environment with the stand resembling that of a luxury safari lodge.

JOURNEY OF DISCOVERY ENDS IN BEIJING

Beijing, China, April 24, 2012 – Land Rover’s biggest modern-day overland expedition, the Journey of Discovery, has reached the finish line with the one millionth Discovery arriving in perfect time to appear at the Beijing Motor Show.

35,000 CANDIDATES APPLY FOR 1,000 HALEWOOD JOBS

Liverpool, UK: More than 35,000 candidates have applied for 1,000 new jobs at Jaguar Land Rover’s Halewood manufacturing facility, near Liverpool in the UK.

More than 6,000 registrations were received within 24 hours of the new jobs being announced by JLR in March and after just one week that figure increased to 20,000 online registrations. The application process for the 1,000 new jobs has now closed.
