COSTA MESA, Calif., Jan. 31, 2013 – Building on a tradition of musical collaborations, Hyundai has partnered with legendary alternative rock band, The Flaming Lips, to create a one-of-a-kind song to serve as the rock anthem for its new Super Bowl XLVII commercial, “Epic PlayDate.” The new track “Sun Blows Up Today” will be featured as a digital bonus track on the band’s newest album, The Terror, slated for release this April. Prior to its television debut during the Super Bowl, “Sun Blows Up Today” is available starting today for free download to the first 100,000 fans at hyundai.com.

Hyundai and Microsoft to Develop Next Generation of In-Car Infotainment

SEOUL, South Korea — Hyundai-Kia Automotive Group and Microsoft recently entered into a long-term agreement to co-develop the next generation of in-car information and entertainment systems. Bill Gates, chairman of Microsoft and Eui-Sun Chung, president of HKAG were present as Martin Thall, general manager of Microsoft’s Automotive Business Unit, and Hyun Soon Lee, president and chief technology officer of HKAG, signed the agreement in Seoul.

Hyundai Parts Division has spent a year and a half fine tuning an industry first with their Approved crash and panel parts repairer program, or HARP. The focus of the program is to ensure that all Hyundai vehicles both in and out of warranty are repaired quickly and efficiently by Hyundai-approved repairers to the highest standards, using only genuine quality Hyundai parts.

Hyundai to Enter Hybrid Battle in 2009

(Seoul, Korea) Hyundai Motor Company plans to mass produce Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV’s) from next year, starting a new era for environmentally-friendly cars.

Hyundai Chairman, Chung Mong Koo, recently announced to South Korean President, Lee Myung Bak, that the automobile company will mass produce environmentally-friendly cars from 2009. He said that this would to create new jobs and develop the industry into a next-generation value-adding growth engine.
