COSTA MESA, Calif., June 13, 2012 – Hyundai Motor America has announced prices for the new 2013 Elantra GT. The fun-to-drive, functional, five-door compact hatchback will have a starting price of $18,395 and be extraordinarily well-equipped. At $18,395 shoppers will discover 39 highway miles per gallon, more interior space than Ford Focus, Mazda3 and Volkswagen Golf and Hyundai’s Driver Selectable Steering Mode. The 2013 Elantra GT will begin arriving in dealerships later this month.

Chicago Auto Show Hyundai Elantra Coupe and GT

Hyundai President John Krafcik introduced a new sport coupe variant to its industry-leading Elantra lineup in Chicago.

“This two-door coupe model of the Elantra sedan, available this spring, will attract even more buyers to the Elantra range, further expanding its appeal to savvy consumers,” said Krafcik. “It offers many of the same attributes that made the sedan version a sales success, while broadening its market reach to youthful, sporty buyers willing to forgo four-door versatility for coupe design appeal.”

13^thAnnual ALG Awards Honor Elantra in Compact Car Segment

COSTA MESA, Calif., Nov. 16, 2011– Hyundai today announced that the 2012 Elantra has received a Residual Value Award from ALG in the Compact Car segment. ALG, the industry benchmark for residual values and depreciation data, annually recognizes automakers’ outstanding achievements in producing new vehicles that are predicted to retain the highest percentage of their original price after a conventional three-year period. Awards are given in 19 vehicle categories.
