GM South Africa is on track to begin exporting the first right hand drive HUMMER H3 vehicles to markets in the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Africa in May, says the company’s Planning Director Ian Nicholls.
The announcement by General Motors that it will wind-down the HUMMER brand will have no impact on our operations in South Africa.
While we will no longer distribute and sell HUMMER vehicles in South Africa, we remain fully committed to looking after our customers through our network of HUMMER approved dealers. HUMMER customers can be assured that we will continue to offer full after sales support and that we will honour all warranty agreements.

Under terms of the agreement and at the buyer’s request, GM did not release the buyer’s identity or nationality.

General Motor’s South Africa has introduced an all-new HUMMER H3 V8 with a more powerful 5.3L V8 engine that delivers an impressive 224kW @ 5200rpm and 434Nm @ 4000rpm.
The front section of the frame and engine compartment of the H3 V8 was modified to fit the new engine, and a special oil pan was designed to ensure constant oil pressure when driving on steep grades.

Dubai, United Arab Emirates – The all-new 2009 HUMMER H3T will go on sale in the Middle East this November after an extensive testing and validation process designed to illustrate its stamina in various areas of on and off-road performance.
The HUMMER H2 will become the first HUMMER to adopt FlexPower technology when the 2009 model becomes available in showrooms this October.
