Dodge Caliber

The Dodge Caliber was a compact car produced by the American automaker Dodge from 2006 to 2012. The Caliber was a departure from the typical small cars offered by Dodge and instead took on the crossover SUV style. It was marketed as a compact car that offered the versatility of a sport utility vehicle.

The Caliber was available in five different trim levels, each offering a different level of features and amenities. The base model, the SE, came equipped with features like air conditioning, power windows and locks, and a four-speaker sound system. Higher-end models, such as the SXT and the R/T, offered more advanced features like a premium sound system, automatic climate control, and a power moonroof.

Under the hood, the Caliber was powered by a range of four-cylinder engines, including a 1.8-liter engine that produced 148 horsepower and a 2.4-liter engine that delivered 172 horsepower. A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) was standard on all models, although a five-speed manual transmission was also available on some models.

The Caliber’s handling and ride quality were also praised by automotive critics, with many noting that the car felt comfortable and controlled on the road. The car’s spacious interior was also noted as a standout feature, with generous amounts of head- and legroom, even in the back seat. Additionally, the Caliber offered a surprisingly large amount of cargo space, with fold-flat rear seats that made it easy to load large items.
