Diversified technology company 3M was on hand at the annual Revive! conference and awards at the Stratford Manor Hotel to share the latest approved training aids and product innovations in cosmetic repair with the SMART (Small to Medium Area Repair Technology) repairer network.
Emma Marsland of 3M’s Automotive Aftermarket Division explains: “The Revive! conference is an opportunity for SMART repairers to come together and recognise outstanding performance achievements within the network over the past 12 months. It is also an ideal environment to share best practice hints and tips.
“We were there to share a full portfolio of new Revive!-approved technical training aids and process boards with the network and gave a practical demonstration of recently introduced products including our Soft Edge Foam Masking Tape Plus and Smooth Transition Tape, as well as self-generating extracted sanders for dry primer sanding. These tools and demonstrations all focused on preparing the network for their aspirations in achieving ATAs (Automotive Technician Accreditation) in Cosmetic Repair.”
Revive! managing director, Mark Llewellyn, adds: “The technical showcase provided by 3M was widely appreciated by the delegates who saw the most advanced technical programme available to SMART repairers. We are delighted by the support we get from 3M and our other partners, and our technicians understand the importance of continually using cutting edge techniques to stay ahead. 3M certainly offers those – and we are delighted with the continued support we have received from the company.”
3M is the preferred dry goods supplier for the Revive! network and sponsored the event along with MKPE and AkzoNobel (Sikkens).
3M’s Automotive Aftermarket Division supplies a full range of abrasives, fillers, sealants, polishes, compounds, masking products and PPE to bodyshops and mobile repairers across the UK.
