  • R 392 000 price entry

Audi TT Coupe

The Audi TT is a design icon introduced to South Africa in the year 2000. The second generation Audi TT was launched in 2006 and was named the “World Design Car of the Year” in 2007. It continues to impress with its sleek lines and impressive performance.

An entry-level engine will now be added to the Audi TT Coupé range from January 2013, providing customers with a more affordable entry into the compact sports car segment. The 1.8T FSI engine being introduced has a power output of 118kW and generates 250 Nm of torque. The TT boasts impressive efficiency figures due to its lightweight aluminium body, and the efficiency figures for this particular model remain as impressive.

The combined fuel consumption is 6.4 litres per 100 km with combined CO₂ emissions figures of 149 g/km. It will be available in both manual and S tronic transmission but will only be available in Coupé body style. The TT 1.8 TFSI weighs a mere 1,240 kg. The body of the Coupé weighs only 206 kilograms, which breaks down to 140 kilograms of aluminium (68 percent) and 66 kilograms of steel (32 percent).

The Audi Space Frame body of the TT is not only extremely lightweight, it is also very strong and exhibits very low-vibration, providing the foundation for sporty and precise handling, a quiet ride and high passive safety. The Audi TT Coupé 1.8T FSI is now available and will be offered with the following standard specification:

  • Bluetooth
  • Xenon Plus headlights with LED daytime running lights
  • Radiator grille now in polished black finish with re-styled single frame
  • New design 17” alloy wheels
  • Multi-function steering wheel (with paddle shifters on S tronic model)
