Cadillac to Transport World’s Top Golfers in Abu Dhabi
The World’s Top Golfers to Compete for a Chance to Win a 2012 Cadillac SRX
ABU DHABI – For the second consecutive year, Cadillac will be the Official Transport Vehicle for the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, which is set to take place at the Abu Dhabi Golf Club from January 26-29, 2012.
To incorporate Cadillac’s standard of excellence to the championship, 55 Cadillac vehicles will be used to transport professional golfers to and from the championship. In addition, a Cadillac CTS-V Sport Sedan, CTS-V Coupe, SRX and Escalade Platinum will be on display throughout the tournament.
Professional golfers will also compete in a hole-in-one challenge at the 7th, par-3 hole for the chance to win a 2012 Cadillac SRX.
This year will also feature the Cadillac Club. Located within the VIP pavilion next to the 18th hole, this exclusive lounge can accommodate 30 guests.

The Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), is one of the PGA European Tour’s major events. Now in its 7th year, the championship will feature the strongest group of professional golfers to ever be assembled at a Middle East golf tournament. This year’s contenders include defending and three-time champion, Martin Kaymer; Rory McIlroy (US Open); Darren Clarke (British Open winner); and Abu Dhabi debutant and 14-time major winner, Tiger Woods. Being the Desert Swing’s richest event, this year’s prize fund has increased by US $300,000 to US $2.7 million.
Cadillac holds a prolific history with professional golf. In 2010, the PGA Tour, on behalf of the International Federation of PGA tours, and Cadillac announced a multi-year agreement whereby Cadillac became the title sponsor of the World Golf Championships-Cadillac Championship and an umbrella sponsor of the World Golf Championship.
