The UK’s biggest and best classic motoring celebration has just got even bigger as the Footman James Classic Motor Show has added more halls ready for its return to Birmingham’s NEC from Friday 16th to Sunday 18th November 2012. Tickets are now on sale for what is classed as the ‘season finale’ of the classic calendar.
This year the event will take place in eleven halls in total, four more than in 2011 (Halls 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19 and 20). Additional space gives the organisers an enormous 82,000 square metres (70,000 square metres in 2011) for features such as Silverstone Auctions’ sale of classic cars, motorcycles and memorabilia. The new halls layout will also make is much easier for visitors to navigate.
Even more of the UK’s best and most diverse classic motoring clubs will be invited to attend resulting in an even bigger display of amazing classic cars and motorcycles. The clubs pull out all the stops to showcase rare and exciting marques ranging from pre-war through to retro classics, American muscle cars to Japanese performance, European elegance to Great British sports cars and many more.
Plus there will be the final of the Meguiar’s Club Showcase where the best concours cars from the club events compete to be crowned Car of the Year, the Restoration Theatre and popular Dream Rides from the Sporting Bears. Wheeler Dealers’ Mike Brewer and Edd China will once again bring motoring mayhem to the live stage as well as special guests and exclusive competitions.
Hundreds of trade stands sell a wide range of parts, spares, tools, motoring services and memorabilia while the popular Autojumble and Bikejumble are havens for mechanics looking for that elusive motoring component.
