LAND ROVER CONTINUES SUPPORT OF THE FESTIVAL OF BRITISH EVENTING

LAND ROVER CONTINUES SUPPORT OF THE FESTIVAL OF BRITISH EVENTING

Whitley, UK, 9th July 2012. Land Rover’s summer supporting great British events will continue in July at the Festival of British Eventing as the event’s official vehicle supplier.

Festival of British Eventing

For thousands of people attending the horse trials at Gatcombe Park in Gloucestershire, family home of the Princess Royal, it will offer a chance to take a close look at the Land Rover brand in action as a fleet of over 50 vehicles are used by officials, judges, medical and veterinary teams.

Land Rover’s support for the show dates back to its inception in 1983 and it continues to be a significant event. The contribution from Land Rover this year includes the provision of a courtesy shuttle service for owners, riders and visitors.

Land Rover customers, who are renowned for their pride in driving Land Rover vehicles and continuous loyalty to the brand, will once again benefit from the festival providing a dedicated Land Rover Owners car park, close to the showground’s pedestrian entrance. Also on hand is the Land Rover Lawn, where owners can enjoy free refreshments on presentation of their Land Rover key fob, which this year moves to a new prime location, the Park Bowl.

For those wanting a first-hand experience of Land Rover’s legendary off-road performance, Land Rover Experience will be at the festival, providing passengers with exclusive drives on a woodland trail around the Gatcombe Park Estate.

Out on the cross-country course, Land Rover will again sponsor the Land Rover at the Folly obstacles, where competitors have to pass through an archway display of Range Rover Sports on their way to jumping the fences. The company will again be presenting a special prize for the highest placed overseas rider in the British Open Championship, which will be presented by the Princess Royal.

All six Land Rover nameplates will be on display on the Land Rover stand, including the recently updated Range Rover Westminster.

Launched in March 2012, the new Range Rover Westminster Edition replaces the previous TDV8 Vogue and Vogue SE models. Going further than its predecessors, it comes attractively equipped with an extensive collection of additional features that raise both the vehicle’s prestige style and comfort levels for everyone on board. The Range Rover Westminster will be prominently displayed alongside the main scoreboard throughout the festival, which runs from 13th – 15th July.

Land Rover will continue its support for eventing at the Land Rover Burghley Horse Trials from 30th August – 2nd September, its eighth year as title sponsor of the international meeting. As a keen supporter of equine sport in general, it is also the official vehicle supplier to the national Equestrian Team GBR.
